Well Like many others was about to go Conroe :D
Due to Unavailability of the Cpu's and new range of Motherboards it's got me thinking !
From what I have seen around there seems little inprovement for a Gaming PC running 1600x1200 plus resolutions, Anyone Know different ?
Too many times have I spent lots of money to gain very little performance (sence the Giant leap to my first Thunderbird) the Good old days when a GFX card lasted more than 3 months !

Current System is AMD 64 4000 @2700 and X1900XTX, should I sit this one out and wait for the new AMD's and DX10 ?

Decided to sit and wait to see what DX10 and Vista bring regarding the Games deal, By then we should have the arrival of quad core Cpu's etc..

In the mean time I will take advantages of the bargain AMD Dual core Cpu's to upgrade my HTPC :D

No I'm good now ! The rush of blood to the head has subsided :D
Sorting out (upgrading) my HTPC, August is busy for me Sept will slip by then maybe October/November time I will review the situation.....To Bloody hot for mucking around with PC's now anyway ;)
