I am trying to remove the water block but the screws underneath the motherboard appear to be rubbish and I can’t get the provided torq screwdriver in properly to get enough grip to unscrew them.

Any options available here

had to drill it out in the end, which was ok becuase the waterblock itself is fine and the screws can be replaced. Just used some 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm HHS drill bits.
I took mine off on the weekend and luckily as I'd already grabbed the iFixit kit anyway, I thought they were far too tight even with considerable pressure applied.. I thought the threads might have seized, so attempted to 'tighten' them to see if I could just get the threads moving, only to find they moved fairly easily..

It was at that point I realised the threads are reversed.... I checked online instructions are sure enough counter clockwise to tighten, clockwise to loosen..

yes reverse threads but I had destroyed the threads tightening them the wrong way. no option but to drill 3 of them out. I have two good bolts now but I didnt want it anyway and selling it.
