Welcome to last Friday. The Queen was actually having lunch at Manchester Town Hall, thus the reason for her being there when they were getting married. It's not as fairy tail as that article makes out.

She was in Manchester, she drove passed my work building and I managed to get the following picture:

I do think that's pretty cool, she didn't have to pop in and see them seeing that she had a really REALLY busy day on Friday

(personally I think its awesome cause I like the Queen and Prince Phillip)
 
After watching Johnny English I can only imagine the queen being randomly tackled out of nowhere :D
 
I would have been deeply humbled if the Queen had shown up at my wedding, regardless of whether she was passing through or not.

People forget themselves sometimes. Too much "me, me, me".
 
I think it was more that fact that they both the Queen and Phillip knew their names and where they worked before meeting them was a very very nice touch.
