Queen Elizabeth II death - business spam bombs

Over the last few days and especially this morning, i'm getting emails from most of the companies i'm signed up with, stating how, "on behalf of the company, we are saddened by the death of HM" etc etc etc.

I don't know how i feel about this, put a message/photo on your website - yes. But why do they feel the need to email their customers - smacks to me they see it as an opportunity for another spam campaign and to remind us they still exist - future revenue etc.

The emails i've received, not one of them mention that they are closed, just a condolence message ie:

On behalf of the team at (insert company here), we thank you sincerely Your Majesty, for your service and dedication. ​

No outrage here, just an observation
