Queries for first build

firstly i'm new to the forums, so hello everyone!

I am going to be doing a new build shortly - it's my first one so wanted to put down here what I would plan on using and see if i'm maybe either falling short or going overkill

It's not for gaming, just for music production and a lot of HD video editing/ watching HD movies and a bit of multi tasking:

Gigabyte GA Z68A D2H-B3 Motherboard
Intel I5 2500K
WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD
OCZ StealthXstream 2 500w PSU
Ballistix DDR3 PC3 12800 DDR3 1600 Memory
coolermaster 335 case


I supposed the question really is if I have got the right PSU, as i was looking at the OCuk battle 450w PSU?

Also if there is anything i can do to save a bit of money if i've maybe went overkill on something?

I was looking at that one too, just wasn't sure how different it would be to the gigabyte one - i'll go for the Asrock!

Would i be better off going for the OCuk battle 450w PSU to save a bit more?
