This query is with regards to when you right click on the Recent Items tab on the start menu on Vista.

I have re-installed my copy of Vista Ultimate 64bit (OEM) on my PC a couple of times and noticed after a few days of use this option disappears.
Please tell me I am not going mad.

It seems fine on my laptop running Vista Home Premium 32bit

How very odd. Have you looked at the privacy settings under 'Taskbar and Start Menu Properties’

Yep done this,
I have added and removed the option to show recent files but it still does not have the right click option to delete recent items.

BUMP

If anyone is interested in the above I have solved the problem: -

It is to do with Lavasoft's Ad-Aware, basically after you have run a system scan it will bring the results back. If you clear the negligible objects (MRU List) it for some reason removes the 'Clear Recent Items List' option.

So only delete the critical objects within Ad-Aware and all will be fine :)

Hopefully this will help someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
