A friend has recently broken his pc by spilling water on it. He now has this motherboard: MSI A320M PRO-VH PLUS but doesn't know if his AMD Radeon HD 6900 will work on it because when he plugs it in the graphics card, turns the pc on everything starts up but the display doesn't change from being 'on' no images.

I can't find any information on this old card, so I am wondering if this card works with this motherboard. If it does, does he just need to reset his Bios?

Hey, the hd6000 series should deffo be compatible as it's running on pcie 3. Does the processor have integrated gpu (ryzen 3 2200g/5 2400g)? If so it could be prioritising that over dedicated gpu, and there should be a setting within bios to disable integrated graphics/prioritise dedicated if it's detected as present.
If that doesn't help, couldn't it have been the case that the card got damaged as well? Obvious signs would be fans not spinning (no signs of life wahtsoever), but one way to know for sure would be to test it in another PC.

The graphics card is powering up, so it seems to be working but doesn't seem to be activating if that makes sense, getting him to check the bios settings now :)

Sounds like the graphics card is faulty with the "no display" fault. It ideally needs putting in another PC to check.
