Query re. sync speed for Sky BB

I moved to Sky BB on 20 Jan, so the 10 day DLM phase should have finished (or finishes today).

On day 1, the connection was approx 4 meg, which I expected as part of DLM.

From day 2 to now, I have had the following sync stats:

Downstream
Connection Speed 13307 kbps
Line Attenuation 27.0 db
Noise Margin 8.1 db

Upstream
Connection Speed 992 kbps
Line Attenuation 11.5 db
Noise Margin 8.0 db

The skyuser.co.uk speed test says that I have a download speed of 11424 kbps.

1 - I'm surprised that my sync speed has not changed from day 2 to the end of DLM.

2 - I'm sure that I should have a better speed with a line attenuation of 27 db.

Advice or thoughts?

Give Sky a call, say DLM has finished & could they possibly increase the sync speed to the max your line can handle

I did this after the 10days of DLM & they sorted it out within minutes.

How far from the exchange are you?

Line length comes into play... i had approx the same stats at my old house and i was about 1km form the exchange and 12Meg was the highest i could sync at.

You could probably squeeze a little more, but you aren't going to gain much with an 8dB SNR margin.

I'm also about 1 km from the exchange.

I might give Sky a call and see what they can do. I wasn't expecting 20 meg, but I was hoping for around 16.
