I am receiving a series of email from the GeIL tech team. In the latest email they have asked me to do the following, however I do not understand what they mean, I am referring to "1/3 & 2/4 DIMM slots" in the email, any help much appreciated.

FYI the problem that I am having is that I had a 2gb pair of GeIL installed, and bought an extra pair off of the members market to add on the assumption it would work fine. But when I have all four modules inserted it would not post, they are set at the correct voltages and I have fiddled around with timings and the MCH but still could not get anywhere. The recently bought pair work perfectly fine, I have tried them separately.

Email:

Dear Nick,

They are different die size.

Try to use 1/3 & 2/4 DIMM slots in order on the mainboard. Please let us know if the combination works or not.

Thank you.

The DIMM slots are the slots on the motherboard.

They are asking you to have on of the sets in slots 1 and 3
and the other set in slots 2 and 4
Do not mix the sets you bought as they are slightly different.

Ah, I knew what the DIMM was, just what he was asking me to do.

Thanks
