So my dad is a chelsea pensioner, and recently showed off his headset to someone high up there. They were amazed, and fancied buying half a dozen of them for the guys that can't get out anymore, stuck in wheelchairs, in nursing wards etc.

The issue I thought of though, is the fact they need facebook accounts linked. And it's either going to be linked to a staff member or a pensioner, neither of whom are what we could call "permanent" :D.

So I was wondering about the developer account method (I believe) that avoids the facebook account requirement? Have people here tried it? How exactly do game purchases work on it, is it just completely normal? Game is linked to the account and that's that?

Developer test accounts can't be used to access the Oculus store.

Right, no good then.

So they'll need genuine facebook accounts for each one. Doable I'm sure, but then the purchases may become an issue. I've suggested they just talk to oculus, got to be a nice bit of press for them in helping out retired vets, especially if they get a photo of them in their pomp and ceremony with the headsets on.

I know about the app sharing, but these are going to be used by a lot of different people over the years I'd imagine. I'll point them at oculus and see if there's something to be done directly, otherwise they'll have to try and work out a way to get 6 facebook accounts to just run the headsets on.
