Quest 3 owners etc

think of the quest 3 as an android mobile phone.
when you connect the headset and desktop/laptop with a direct usb-c to usb-c/a cable you can access the file system of the headset from "My Computer"
edit : when connected you get a notification in the headset notifications to allow access

Thanks

Now all i need to do is remember where i put that over priced long Quest link cable i bought a few years ago

You might even be able to download the file directly onto the headset via the headset browser, but you mat need the mobile VR station app to view the files. So a cable would be a simpler option if you can find one.

Have the headset on and in passthrough mode, connect the headset to the PC and you'll get a popup notification in the headset to allows USB connections. Go to the notification bell icon and click on the USB notification.
Open up file explorer and put the video file here My Computer\Quest 3\Internal shared storage\Oculus\VideoShots

Mine only had something like pictures shots in that folder not video shots, But wasn’t sure if the folder name made any difference

I can’t see what at the moment as am now at work

If you already have video recorded on your headset, look at the files app then just search through the media types until you see where your videos are. That's probably the best location to plonk the avatar clip.

V71 got onto my Quest Pro. Not checked my 3 yet.

As expected, V71 causes performance issues in the UI on the pro - tearing and sparkles. This was flagged up in the PTC, but Meta seem to have ignored this. Love how Meta are gradually making the Pro worse with every update.

Have any of you guys got the latest AMVR interface with the two dials on it ?

Lol, When I returned mine, the first broken and the 2nd so poor in the respect of variable depth control, I then reviewed it over at Amazon pointing out how problematic I found it when trying to adjust the depth. Especially in comparison to other facial interfaces that have a rotary dial depth control.
Great that AMVR have improved that aspect of control, but I wonder if it will allow those who are using a halo type head strap to pivot the headset without hitting the facial interface..?

Do you mean the one you returned was the older version without the dials ?
