Batman Arkham Shadow is bloody brilliant. Behemoth is out soon and looks good. Metro Awakening is getting mixed reviews, but mostly positive.

Feel like a void left after finishing Batman. Need the next AAA game.
Tempted by metro - are the visuals as good as batman or....? Mixed reviews etc

Thrill of the fight 2 out this week - early access though.

I like the PC version of Metro. Not tried the Q3 version. It's got amazing atmosphere, and is similar in feel to HL Alxy, in terms of being a story based shooter with a survival horror element.
The Q3 version does use Application Spacewarp to run at half-frame rate but apparently it's only noticable in menus.
Batman was particularly good because I didn't get any motions sickness with hours of play.
ASW has that risk. I may consider the pc version.
If you're not bothered about the Q3 native version, and have PCVR capability, then the Steam version is significantly cheaper from key sites. The PC version runs at much higher resolution (my biggest bugbear with Q3 native games is the low resolution), and has dynamic shadows. (Q3 only has these in cutscenes).
The PC version does have some pretty low-res textures though. Hopefully this gets patched at some point.
Thrill of the fight 2 multiplayer only at first, considering my complete lack of fitness I don't think I'll enjoy getting beaten up by 99% of people I may be up against. Still going to buy it. Another possibly good boxing game scheduled for a beta release by end 2024 is Boxing Underdogs (was called VRSO Bare Knuckle Fighting or something like that).

V71 came through on mine a few days ago. What am I supposed to be excited about?

I like shiny.................saw tiddly squat meaningful difference. Not spent time looking but not seen anything initially different. I was hoping for 16:9 for screenshots and photos, like 16:9 for video. I have checked that and can't see it as an option. IIRC that choice was there in some PTC builds for V71. Might not have made it to the final..?
The fact that your headset still works after the update is plenty to be excited about.

However, I'm pretty sure this wasn't happening prior to the update: The headset blacks out for a few seconds every time I adjust it on my face.

I think they adjusted the sensitivity of the facial sensor and users are reporting blackouts unless they crank the headstrap tension up.
