Quest 3 owners etc

Yeah, its on my list, let us know how you get on and if anything breaks...
I'll presume that any updates from Meta will reinstall it?!
 
That's all a bit wierd, as i've not uninstalled it, but it's not in my list of apps in the meta horizon phone app..

although I think my Q3 is a bit wierd anyway, as I still have the old app launcher..
 
My Q3 isnt holding charge even though it is plugged into the cable all the time. It used to drop 10% or so and recharge up to 100% overnight.What would be the best plan? either buy a battery pack and plug that into the headset or sort out a replacement headset battery?

I'd unplug it, run it right down, then charge up again. Maybe repeat a few times. Might be outdated in that view.

I use mine wirelessly and let it run down to about 30% before charging it back to 100%. I don’t leave it on charge overnight, this is from experience with laptop batteries.
 
Meta really need to sort the battery handling out on the quest 3 to be honest, the last update has left mine refusing to charge past 75% via the elite battery head strap and if I leave the elite strap plugged in it will happily drain that fairly rapidly for no apparent reason at all. All settings in the headset are set to power down completely and not wake up too, it's absolutely infuriating to have to charge the thing whenever I want to use it rather than being able to charge it to say 80% and leave it alone for a few days and be able to use it.

Integrated battery pack/headstrap is a good bet. As for what needs charging, whatever is low... If you empty the battery pack and the headset, you'll need to do both.

How you use the battery pack will effect it too, if you wait for the quest to be low before plugging it in, it's unlikely to bring it back to full.

I had the same issue when I had been using a third party charger. Dug out the original quest 3 charger and it's been fine since.
 
I have a 3rd party cable with a feed from the original plug. I ended up going VD and bought a router and cat6 cable although I am still running wireless.
