Quest 3 owners etc

That’s why I said “up to”. I didn’t pay attention to battery % but it’s in the lower half for sure and doesn’t stay at 23W for very long.
Looks like 23W is the max then, which is pretty poor. My Steam Deck will charge at 40W, and I believe the ROG Ally goes up to 60W+, so no idea why Meta made the charging so slow on Quest.

Maybe because the battery is sitting on top of the Soc and getting hot.
They probably don’t want it to catch fire on someone’s face. lol
 
That's great customer service. That's a question I never asked yet: What is the UK warranty on the Quest 3?
It’s 1 year manufacturer warranty, but UK consumer law means you should have at least 2 years to make a claim on electrical goods, although this could be harder to claim.

My previous Quest 2 failed within the first year and the high street retailer swapped it (After I showed proof I had been corresponding with Meta support). Nice and fairly simple. One of the reasons I got the Quest 3 was so I could have peace of mind warranty.

Retailers differ, John Lewis for example give 2 years warranty on the Quest, which is claimed through them, i believe Amazon is only 30 days, and after that you claim from the manufacturer, which in Meta’s case they were easy to deal with directly.

It is actually 6 years that you can claim in UK, but it has to be within a reasonable lifespan for the particular product, which in the case of electrical items is generally agreed to be at least 2 years.

I don’t keep my Quest 2 long when it was released but definitely going to keep this, just need a better head strap.
 
My device is now showing on the meta site under my profile, but it says 'Your device is not covered by an active warranty, or the warranty has expired.' Is this normal? Shouldn't it have manufacturers warranty as well as retail?
