Quest 3 owners etc

Referrals seem to be erratic, for months I couldn't send game referrals, now I can. Never had an issue with device ones though.

Generally you'll get a period of free horizon+ it's worth taking advantage of.

Most have games in my mind would be walkabout mini golf and batman.

Then there's a lot that might be good for you. Beat saber, thrill of the fight (2?), Asgard's wrath 2, assassin's creed, behemoth, pistol whip, demeo, demeo battle marked, forefront, dungeons of eternity.

Walkabout is so you can join your new community every Monday evening and enjoy a round of mini golf with some great people (and also me, melmac, Riggs and ravenger).

If you do need to be friends, it'll be meta friends

Ask for game referrals too, can get a bit of a discount.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I think I've done everything correctly so I've contacted meta support to look into it

Make sure you tell them the referral link you used to be sure whoever referred you gets the benefit too (maybe let them know if you haven't already).

Most important though, join us on the Mondays :D, social gethering thread is the one we use.

I'd seriously consider buying a battery head strap. The fabric one that comes with the quest isn't very comfortable and is quite face heavy. Having a battery on the back helps counterweight the headset making it far more balanced and comfortable. The additional run time is also handy as the Quest only lasts 90-120 minutes IME. A battery pack will double that.

I have the official Meta one above which I like but you'd probably be better with a 3rd party one as they're less than half the price and by all accounts just as comfortable/good. I'm sure others on here will be able to advise on specific models.

Prescription or non prescription (plano) lens protectors.Referal code for free quest cash.

Thanks for the links. Going to look up on the various options and read some user reviews. I've got the PSVR2 and the cable does annoy me in roomscale games, don't mind it in GT7 where I'm sat down.

Hi, do the non prescription lenses do anything other than protect the lenses? I've seen ones for the PSVR2 that were supposed to filter out blue light and help reduce the mural effect.

You can get the non prescription ones with various filters depending on how much you want to pay. Essentially, they just stop the lenses getting scratched.

I'm sure one of the guys will post with a referral code.
 
Got FluffySheep jnr one for Christmas. How does the referral code work? If someone sends me a code do we both get credit? Can anyone help?

You follow the link and the instructions I believe. Both get the credit, you might need the meta app installed.

I think there was a Christmas promotion that's just finished offering £46, but now it's only showing £23 for me (messaged you the link).
 
Now I'm getting annoyed. I can't use the code from unseul. I think it's because my region is set to the US (store is in $ so makes some sense there). I try to set the region/country to the UK and can't, so I go through the meta help. My account can't log in through the website (works on switch and my Facebook is active), so I try using the serial number of the device. Few 0 Vs O and 1 Vs I, but absolutely no combination is recognised. Any ideas?

Likely due to the region. Why it's set to USA I don't know.
 
Got prices to £ now on app and device so I assume country is now UK, but when I put the link in either on phone or on meta it says

There was an issue with accepting this referral. You may not be eligible because the country ot region is not supported, you referred yourself, you already accepted this referral or you do not meet the age requirements for the programme.

It might help to use a VPN to not only change country but also currency.Also a good idea to unlink your meta account from Facebook and insta.

It's possible it's already been accepted?

Try someone else's referral and see if that takes. If not, register, and see if it's already accepted. If not, contact support showing the referral link you used and ask them to correctly update the credit in the accounts.
