I have just got demon's 8mb service.
The line still shows that it is connected at 2.2mbps wuth an upload of 256.
the adslguide speed test shows a 1mb download speed.
I questioned demon as to why it was still connected at 2mb when i should be recieveing 8mb now.
They told me that bt will be checking the line speed for 10 days to set what speed i can get (usual for this type of connection as far as I am aware)
what i cant understand however is how can bt set the line speed to the supposed 6.5mbps i am able to recieve if i am only connected at 2.2mbps or is that irrelavant ?
so basic question is should windows and my router show that i am connected faster than 2mb or not ?
do i need to ring demon back again and listen to these silly foreigners who have no idea what they are talking about or how to speak english properly.
