If you look at this picture

The black arrows are for the Scythe Ninja Fan, The red arrows are for the case fan.

What I want to know is...on Lian Li cases the back fan pushes air inwards! so if having the Scythe fan turned on isn't this defeating the object of the case fan blowing air over the cpu?

Would it make any difference if I move the fan and put it on this side of the Scythe Ninja.

Not a help I know but I've been wondering the same thing myself - I've got the same setup in a V2100+.

I'm not sure about the second option because the general airflow should be right to left and bottom to top in those photos. The semi-obvious place for the HS fan would be between the case fan and the HS blowing to the left but I'm not sure if that would interfere with the efficiency of the case fan.

I think the only option for me m8 would be to try this out, give it a few hours and see if the temps are different.

I was also thinking of taking this out

and turning the fan on the Scythe the oposite way so it would be blowing air onto the graphics card. The card doesn't need it though because it never seems to go higher than 47 °C (117 °F) the card I have is only a Gigabyte GF 7600GT Silent Pipe II which isn't OC so really there might be no need for the fan at all.

Why not reverse the rear case fan - so the Ninja fan blows thru h/s and any hot air is then exhausted by the rear fan ?

That's how I had my ninja in a v2000b+ case

yes you should have the set up just like how okimanoob as his

the other way would just make a hotspot of hot air in the case which
aint a good thing at all.

Yeah I understand it would be good in most cases but in the V series of cases it could be a different matter altogether.

Read what Yewen said about the V series cases.

Yewen said:
The fan orientation is very unique in the V series, you have to take the case as being two seperate cases, each section having its own unique cooling system.

When you look at the case from this point of view the cooling makes more sense, it isolates the heat output into the case and providing you do not force heat through the compartments the case offers superb cooling.

I'm back to stock @ the moment anyway so not really bothered about the temps at the moment. (C2D6600) Though I will be OC again to about 3.4Ghz.

Temps @ the moment without Scythe fan on are 35/35 idle 44/45 running Orthos.

does Yewen mean the case is in two separate parts being the top end
and the bottom and of the LL-V series cases

I've tried my cpu and rear fan blowing both ways, both in and then both out...And it didnt really make a difference to my case temperatures.
