Question about Belinea 22 inch

Might be a daft question but I have just ordered a Belinea 22inch WS monitor with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 .

I currently have a crt screen and was just looking through video card settings and i dont have the option to pick that resolution.
Will the option only become available when I plug the Belinea in? (PS: I havent got it yet)

My graphics is 7800GS

Anyone help?

oh just one more quesion please. Can i run different resolutions through this monitor? Like when I play games etc?

You can run 800x600 to 1680x1050.
