Question about bundles

Hi.

Thinking of buying one of the pre-configured bundles - e.g. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/defc...ghz-overclocked-skylake-bundle-bu-068-og.html

Just a quick question about these. They say 'Pre built and configured', but how are they delivered? Are they built, then all taken apart and delivered as separate parts to put back together (socket CPU, mount cooler, fit RAM). Or are they really delivered as a unit.

Hey! I believe only the cooler is not attached (to avoid damage in transit), and needs to be when you get it.

For some reason it was always the mounting of the cooler that I found most nerve racking when putting together PCs

Now we no longer has sprung coolers and they just pretty much "bolt on" its far easier than it ever used to be.

Easy new coolers are no chance of putting a hole in your new motherboard trying to stretch a spring, they just screw on hardly anything could go wrong

But what about the thermal paste bit? The thought of cocking that up still scares me to death to this day as I've always used the Intel stock coolers with it already pre-applied.

Stick a blob about the size of a rice grain/pea in the middle of the cpu and let the heatsink clamping pressure force it out.
