Hi there!

i've recently put my rig together and i was monitoring the temps over the last hour.

i have a core i5 750 running at stock speed, the pc is running idly in the bios. the heat of the cpu is sitting around 44c-45c degrees.

the heatsink im using is the stock intel cpu fan. i was wondering will the temps eventually go down slightly or will they stay around 44 degrees?

also..because its new thermal compound will it take a few days of use to settle in?
edit, the thermal compound was actually pre applied to the fan, and i just slotted it on.

cheers!

okay cheers guys. i think im just worrying.. speccy says my idle temps are now 35c after leaving it running for a couple of hours.

yeah i only literally built it a few hours ago and have had it running for a couple now. it seems to have evened out a little now.

the airflow is good. big fan on the back of the case and a big one of the front.
