Question about Deus Ex HR code

Just tried to sell a code that i got with my new GPU but it didnt work. Got everything sorted with the buyer. But who do i contact? the place that sold me the graphics card, Sapphire or Steam. The code is saying its 'invalid' as though a digit or digits have been entered wrong. Its not saying the code has already been used. I also tried the code and got the invalid error.

Ive email Stream and the place i bought the card from, is there anymore i can do?

The digits go like this XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Did anyone elses code have that arrangmet? 4 blocks of 4 letters/numbers.

Steam would say the code has already been used in that case. Its saying the code is 'not valid'. Ive also seen his Steam account, unless of course he has more than one, but thats all irrelevant since he seems a nice guy and the whole 'not valid' not 'already activated' thing.

Uh-oh. So thats the way to do it? If the OcUK email told me to do that i must have missed it. Do i need to do this or the buyer? And does it still work on Steam?
