Bit of a noobish question really.

The thing is, should a pc boot-up the exact same time everytime you turn it on? Because i'm getting about 40 secs one time then another time it's about 50+, and i've noticed some programs load slower one time then another time it's good, i've tested my HD with no problems, suppose I should stfu and start playing:o

Cheers and be gentle with replies.;)

Edit ran all of seatools test all past.

Stop obsessing over boot times. They're not even particularly relevant these days, when you can use Sleep/Hibernate instead.

Autoruns will show you what programs are starting on boot, which is quite useful just so you can choose what does and doesn't run in the background, but past that there's no point getting so flustered about it.

Cheers, i've noticed i'm getting speed obsessed and having OCD doesn't help:mad:, because when it's started up i'm having no problems accessing programs or games, think I need a kick up the bum.

Thanks for your reply.

Do yourself a favour Dave please try and stop focusing too much on your boot times. Either use the S3 sleep function (as I do) and then it becomes irrelevant or boot your PC up and go and make a cup of tea (as I do if I should ever decide to switch it fully off).

I think that you realise you are focussing too much on this already so please take heed of all the advice you have been given, and in your other thread, and either use the S3 sleep function or do not be near your PC as it is booting and so then you will not notice as it boots how long that it takes :)

The S3 sleep function is, for me, perfect in every way to ensure that the PC is accessible when I need it and conserve as much power as possible when it is in that sleep mode.

Try it as I'm sure you will like it.
