hi guy will a dual core laptop be good enough to run muvizu and what graphics card should I be looking to get with that model of laptop

Basically I want to run this software

As far as I know muvizu when it first came out required a graphics card of 1300x ATI or a nvida 7800 GTX I don't know why
2.6ghz. Idk why
and 3gb space idk why

Now with further releases for some reason they no longer suggest the Above to but now requires

2.6ghz
shader model 3 graphics card whatever that means idk
at least 3gb of space idk what that's for

are these specs just garbage they are refering to have ?

Are they the must-have the most basic specs only for me to run into rending problems and jittery and so on please I know if any where you guys have got the expertise

I rather ask here as this is a much better forum

what about AMD graphics card

Do you need a laptop for this? I'd hazard a guess you'd be better off spending your money on a desktop. Animation is time consuming and assuming the time you'd be spending on the software you'd need to be plugged into a socket anyway.

Would a desktop be possible? If so I'm sure someone can spec based on the below specs grabbed from the site:

Minimum requirements said:
To run the application properly, your hardware should be at least equal to these specs; but note that the better your graphics specs, the better the performance:
2.4GHz processor
Shader model 3 graphics card (or equivalent APU)
2.3GB free drive space

hi buttons the I will be sharing the laptop

I know so many people has said a desktop rather than a laptop buying will be shared you see

what did you mean by someone can spec?

so when they say minimum are they talking pants I'm guessing if my computer was that spec it would run crap am I right and muvizu will be jittery and so on right?

would a quad core laptop be a wise choice? Idk what the poop to buy lol

and can some one please tell me the weird numbers of graphics card and what the y mean like why is a sapphire Radeon 5450 with 1gb memory mean lol

what's gforce 6200 then there's a gforce 8400gs with 512mb. Wth etc lol. What are all these numbers and meaning lol what's higher wounding they say say graphics card one two there's then I know what's higher bluntness numbers mean nothing is it the higher the number the better lol

then there a AMD 6560 with 1gb lol. What's all this mean someone must have a easy explanation

then there 650m Radeon lol

Pretty much any current gen will run the program, depends on your budget.

Few questions:
  • How big do you need the screen size to be? 11"/13"/15.4"/17"?
  • What other things will you be doing with the laptop?
  • What kind of battery life do you require? (IE 4 hours+)
  • Most importantly, what is your budget?

But will it run it well without jittery and hitting the wall Down The line
screen 15 or 17
not much just using muvizu and excel for the other person who will be using it too

not bothered about battery

budget £350 or so can go up to 380
