OK currently ive got windows xp on my pc and have 2 drives.

is it possible to buy a new HD now anything not sure what yet but if i got windows xp 64 bit pro (as i dont want vista) Can i install it on this 1 drive then have the option to run my current windows xp or windows xp 64 ?.

Main reasson for doing this is i have 8gig of ram as i braught it foolishly ages ago not knowing that xp32 wont run over 4 gig of ram. So basicly i just want to get this working 1 day :). im buying a new pc soon but kind of want to keep this 1 to for abit.

also to add whats the best nvidia card i can get for a Asus M2N32 WS Professional MB. i it the 9800 ?

Yes you should have no problems with that. I'm treble booting with Win 7 RC, Vista, and XP Home Edition on 2 drives. I use XP for gaming. As for your graphics card what size is you PSU. With most of the high end cards require their own power supply and will require 4 or 6 pin power connectors.

O m power supply is a hiper 580w power supply and currently my card is the GF 7950 GT

With my idea i kind of wanted to buy a drive say for example a 500gig 1 then when i put it in i turn the pc on put a xp 64bit in then install windows xp 64 to the new drive. If this is possible then what happens when i turn the pc on does it ask what i want to boot up in at the fron page ?. I think my PC supports PCI e 16x only not 2.0 so would have to be the best 16x or 1 that can work in 16x and 16x 2.0.

Go with the 9800 GT. Also I've read in places and on these very forums that a number of people regard XP 64bit as being total arse. TBH I'd not waste your money and just download Win7 RC 64bit. Then if you feel the need you can just purchase a retail version of it when needed. I use Vista Premium 64bit on a day to day basis, it's used primarily for gaming, but also as a media PC as well and it works perfectly fine. Although the majority of my working and surfing is done using OS X.
