Question about Gamecube Resident Evils

After just picked up a brand spanking new gamecube for £40, I have a few questions about the Resident Evil series and what versions they are (original versions or graphical updates).

I know that RE 1 is a complete remake, RE 4 is decent graphics as it was made for the cube not too long ago, is Code Veronica a port from the Dreamcast?

Then as far as I can work out RE 2 + RE 3 (Nemesis) seen to be straight ports from the PS1 and im not sure about Zero.

Zero = completely new
RE1 = remake with gorgeous graphics and additional areas/plot.
RE2/3 = straight ports from PS1
RE4 = complete new game designed foremost for the GC.

Cool, Thanks for the reply, I ordered RE1 yesterday so will have to keep a lookout for Zero + 4.

I would recommend playing 1 before you move onto number 4. The gameplay mechanics are so different (and improved) in RE4 that I found it next to impossible to play RE1 after it.

Code Veronica is a direct port of the DC version.

Plays & looks pretty much identical.

It's a good game & deffinitley worth the money if you can find it cheap enough...got mine for 99p from Game a while ago in one of their sales.

But she's taken over my Xbox 360 with those damn Bejewelled, Zuma, Jewel Quest etc..
