Hi kinda of new to forum and would like to ask a question to the pros as im not very tech minded and maybe save me a few £s

Ive got a system near 5 years old now, its a

asus p6t deluxe v2 system
i7 920 oc 2.6 - 3.4ghz
12 gb ram
900w tagen psu
and at present using a geforce 295 gtx
running vista 64

my question is, as being a battlefield fan im wondering if i could just buy a new gfx card maybe a r9 290x, a gtx titan or a gtx 780 gpu upgrade to upgrade my system to be able to play it with decent graphics or would i suffer due to the system i have and have problems

i am prepared to get a new build but woulda like to clear this up first

thx bt

We don't know for sure the performance and price of the R9 290x. What resolution do you play at? At 1080p something like a 7970/R9 280X should do fine according to beta FPS results.

I think the i7 920 is still a capable cpu and with a decent cooler and a slightly higher overclock im sure you could run one of the big boys in there fine

anh thanks a lot, ill wait till sum reviews on other cards pricing etc then and may get 1 of the big boys, if run into problems can always take card out of thatt and put it in new system

you guys saved me a bunch of cash,

much appreciated
bt

cant speak for the 290x or titan but if its any help I ran a 7970 with a i7 920 no problem what so ever so a 280x would also be fine
