Hi guys, i'm planning a build in a HAF X case which will have a H100i, and was wondering what sort of airflow configuration i would be best to go with for it?

I've been looking at lots of videos and info on which ways work but still unsure for my particular combination. I will only have the stock fans that come with the case, and the stock fans that come with the H100i. With those, am i best exhausting out through the rad, or intaking? Also i'm unsure if i can use the HAF X top fan with it or not, and how the layers would be. Any help would be appreciated :)

What kind of graphics card do you have?

I would recommend using front as intake, side as intake, and H100i as exhaust. Use the H100i fans, not the top fan for it because they are static pressure optimised.

This way you also get all your intakes dust filtered.

The graphics card is going to be a GTX 970

Ok, i already have the front and side as intakes, and the back and top are exhausts. So it'll be a case of keeping everything as it is, but removing the top case fan and then just having the two H100i fans instead?

Where would i need to put the H100i fans? Underneath the rad so that they are pushing up through it and out the case? Or above the rad in the space where the case fan was so that it's pulling it out?

I did see a video in which a guy had the same case and put the top fans back into place above the H100i, although i think he needed extra long screws for that and i'm not sure whether he was pushing or pulling or both in his scenario. But is that pointless then?

Righto.. fans on bottom, pushing air up through the rad and out of the case, got it :)
There's no real need to fit the case fans on top of the rad at all? As an extra pull?

Thanks for the vid. I know he said push/pull wasn't worth it but he seemed to be recommending pull rather than push?? But then he's speaking in regards to dust and cleaning. So having them like i said above - underneath the rad pushing air up through it, would still be okay?

Although I don't have the H100i I have the fans in my Haf X set as follows..

Front - intake
Side - intake
H80i push/pull exhaust
Roof mounted twin 200mm exhaust
PSU fan facing down to prevent power supply hot air venting into the case.
