Just a quick question about the "Intel Extreme D975XBX2KR BAD AXE 2 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard - Retail" Motherboard. It's had rave reviews in certain PC gaming mags, which pretty much say that although pricey, it performs well, however scanning through the product description, I notice the entry of ATI CrossFire technology.

What exactly does this mean? Is it that it has a little bit extra to facilitate the use of Crossfire, or does it mean that if you wish to use nvidia, you'd be better off getting another motherboard?

My intention was to run a single nvidia 8800GTX on the board, and not worry about dual cards at all.

Thanks if any of you can make this a little clearer,

A.
