Question about iPhone OS3

I have an original iPhone and wondered what features I would get by upgrading to OS3, the apple website lists them but it refers to the iPhone 3gs and doesn't mention the older ones, can anyone help?

It is well worth it and you can upgrade to it for free. Why not?

Yes OS 3 works on the 2G..
