Question about iTunes?!?

Quick question over the last few years I've bought albumns ringtones etc.
I have got a new iPhone 4 and want to download all my albums purchased through my phone and it says "you have already bought this album would you like to purchase it again" I can either click buy or cancel if I click buy it attempts to purchase again!?!?

I no longer have the songs on my pc so how do I get them again when iTunes recognises I own them already.

Why do you not have them on your PC any more? If it was due to a hardware failure you can try asking Apple nicely if they'll allow you to download them all again, they might let you, they might not.

Apps can be downloaded again, it will ask if you want to buy the app again but won't actually charge you. Music and videos will have to be purchased again if Apple don't allow you to download them again.

If you've deleted them all off your computer and you haven't got a backup copy on an iPod or something then you're screwed really. You'll have to pay for them all again, or at least I've had to do that previously, mine was only 1 album though.
