question about jelly

me and my friend are off to a party on wednesday and as we were bored this afternoon we went and bought some vodka and jelly ( inspired by the skittles vodka thread as i made some of that for the last party )
Now, the party isnt for a good few days but we decided to make it today as we expected it to take a good while to set but it appears its already setting a few hours later so the question is,

how long is jelly good to be kept?
Two and half tesco value blocks, approx one and a third pints of water and 70cl of voddy ??

Jelly will keep as long as you keep it refridgerated and covered

We made some Vodka jelly the other day, see the thing we didnt realise was you mix the jelly with vodka and water.

So we ended up with 100% Vodka

Moral of the story, water is for girls.

Never tried it with anything alcoholic other than vodka.

I know jelly doesn't set at all if you put certain fruits in it, eg Kiwi fruit. Didnt read the box and found out the hard way after waiting 3 days for this damn bowl of jelly to set....all the time, wondering why its not working.

i doubt it and apparently it works with rum.

whiskey? i have a large bottle of that floating about my room, may have to have a blast but its a lot to waste if it goes wrong

Couple of things.

If you use too much vodka it won't set very well.

And the acid in some fruit also stops it setting, so if you plan to put actual fruit in, one I know to avoid is pineapple.

drffo no fruit in it thank god, that would just ruin the jelly.

its got until wednesday to set ( overkill i know) but its looking half set now

The camera wobble on that photo would indicate that the person taking the shot did the following:

One shot of vodka for jelly
One shot of vodka for me
One shot of vodka for jelly
One shot of vodka for me
One...
