My Kapersky anti virus is expiring in 11 days. If I add a new license now will it give me 12 months from today, or 12 months after my current one expires?

I won't use Kaspersky any longer, but I do remember adding my next year's code to the control panel a couple of years back. The wording intimated it was for 'storage' of codes but it activated the new one immediately, concurrently with my original code. I was not amused! Best play it safe tbh.

When should I renew my license?
We recommend renewing your licence no sooner than 14 days before it expires and no later than the date your protection runs out.

You can purchase your renewal licence at any time prior to expiry and enter your new activation code into your product shortly before your current licence expires. Your new licence period will commence from the date that you enter your new activation code into your Kaspersky product

Ah that clears it up, I will wait until next month before activating my new one.

The renewal price for Antivirus 2012 for 1 PC was £24.99. Amazon had Internet Security 2012 for 3 PCs for just £21 (massive reduction), so I bought it. I'll give it to my brother to use on his PC + Laptop after I've activated my use.

Kapersky is the only premium AV software I've used that because I got 1 year free with my motherboard, and its too much better than AVG to go back to using free AV software.
