Question about laptop ASUS ROG Scar 15-tdp throttling

That laptop maybe i will buy in future. But my question is. Reviewer said that there are fps drops in games due to TDP throttling something like that. Is this on this laptop or overall in laptops? I must just change TDP to resolve this?
And yes i know 3080ti mobile is weaker than desktop 3080 ti. Thanks

Thermal throttling is an issue where the frequency of chip(GPU or GPU) reduced by the system to avoid any damage due to overheating.

While not every laptop subject to this issue, it is more common with laptops as the cooling system is often inadequate due having a small form factor.

My advice would be to find a laptop with a proper cooling that doesn’t have any throttling as it will result drastic effects while gaming(e.g FPS can drop to 30 from 100). And no, laptop cooling pads won’t solve throttling issue.
