Question about large case fans??

Does a 220mm and 200mm case fan have the same distance between screws? I ask because the '220mm' on my fan isnt screw to screw, but the actual diameter of the fan. I wondered if '200' means the screw distance is the same, but the fan diameter smaller?

I wanted to get this case:

and put a 220mm fan on it? But it says 200mm fan

Some fans have different mounting screws, usually fan mounting sizes are specific to the fan.

Drop OcUK a line and ask them to measure one?

These larger fans tend to have the screw holes mounted very close to the diameter of the fan, so if this is the case then there's is no way a larger fan will fit the 200mm holes. You'd probably need to mod the hole, making it larger and fitting some new screw holes. Or just go with the 200mm fans.

thanks for this, i have a 220mm fan but i dont really seem to see many cases (i like) to use it for. im not a gamer so i dont want the stupidly OTT cases, but a smart one would do fine!
