Question about Mario Kart Wii multiplayer

I've bought Mario Kart for my friend in an attempt to prompt her into dusting off the Wii and getting some mileage out of it, but she's only got a tiddly little television and I'm worried that multiplayer (which would be the main reason for her playing it) might not work on such a small screen.

I think we're talking something around the 20" area in the older 4:3 format and the seats in the lounge area are around 8m away from the screen.

Will she spent more time squinting at the screen than actually playing it?

Squinting. Definitely going to squint a hell of a lot, especially with all the action going on.

Hmmm, I had a niggling feeling that would be a problem, especially having looked at the shots on the back of the box.

When I was at boarding school we were not alowed tv's so I had a little 3" sony lcd tv - we used to play 4 player superbomerman and supermario kart on it.... nothing is impossible

I think it would be very hard to play, but possible - you might have to sit closer though.
