hey again, sorry about so many psu questions. this should be my last. now i recall someone saying about how the corsair gs700 was only tested at a max load of 30 degrees, or something along those lines, whilst another corsair (the hx series i think it was) was tested at full load at 50 degrees. what is this talking about?
hope you can help.ste

im not sure :L i just got told that like, the higher this temp is, the better, so maybe its something to do with like max temp at full load or something... its bugging the hell outta me :L

AKA a 'hot box'. Basically it's a way to see how the PSU copes with high ambient temperatures. Either warm climate, warm room, badly ventillated case, or GPUs exhausting directly into the PSU.

PSU components suffer with high temperatures (capacitors especially), and it's also a condition where efficiency drops and the fan starts to spin faster, generating more noise.
