Question about mobile phone privacy?

Something ive been wondering about after some incidents at school. Are teachers legally allowed to look at stuff on your mobile without your permission after they confiscated it? Its never been a problem for me because I have a password but some people dont even have a pin.

Another thing, can they stop you from drinking water in the lessons (apart from in the science labs/computer rooms)?

Seriously sometimes its 25oc and the teachers say its cold :rolleyes:

Your making a lot of assumptions there, I have never had my phone confiscated or used it in the lessons I was just asking a question, as for the water in lessons when your in the comuter room in the middle of summer with no air conditioning and no blinds you dont really want to have to go an hour without water, added to that your not allowed to drink on the corridors between lessons either so I still needed to know.

What you don't go is start bitching about it on a forum, moaning in class that "Mrs so and so won't let us do this", and being generally a pain. Just giving my opinion.

I was just asking a question about drinking water, you dont need to get so worked up about it really, I don't see where I have been moaning. I think what you suggested would be a bit much just so someone can have a drink of water in hot weather, It would be a waste of the staffs time I was just checking beforehand in case I had some unreasonable teacher.
