Hi everyone
I am currently working in a report which and I am using multi-level lists for the headings. Is there a way to use different styles sych as for example: Abstract, contents page etc have i, ii, iii and the Intro , Diccusstion etc use 1, 2, 3. Thanks

You can change the numbering style by right clicking on one of the numbers and picking the "Numbering" option.

If you want multiple styles then right click on the first item that needs the new style and pick "Restart Numbering" then right click again and change the style.

I struggled with this for my final year Uni these (no I'm not that young, it was Open University) and found it was far from obvious. Some Googleing (word outline numbering) found this URL which sorted my problems:

http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/outlinenumbering.html

She gives instructions for both 2003 and earlier, and 2007 / 2010 as the method is different.

I'm not entirely clear about what you are wanting, so you might be needing section breaks as well.
