Question about OCing GTX 670 memory

I have an EVGA 670 FTW which according to the specs on the OcUK site, has an effective memory speed of 6208.

Then there is the Gigabyte WF 670, for which the effective memory speed is listed as 6008.

Now, if in afterburner I add +500, is that adding 500 on top of the 6208/6008 making it 6708/6508?

Or is it 6208/6008 + (500*4) making it 8208/8008? Though this sound high..
 
The actual memory speed for the EVGA card is 3104 MHz (x2 = 6208 effective speed)

The Gigabyte card is 3004 MHz (x2 = 6008 effective)

So if you add an extra +500 MHz to 3004 = 3504 which gives you an effective speed of 7008 MHz
 
Cheers. Very strange things to oc this 6xx series.

Is there any software which reliably allows OCing of 2 different types of gtx 670?

Have tried afterburner, but disabling "sync cards", doesn't allow me to successfully set up clocks for the two cards, and their properties are quite different.

The WF allows power envelope (or whatever is called) to go up to 111%, whereas the Evga allows up to 145%.

The WF seems to run higher voltages as standard.

Not that I really need to do this, but I like to get things running as similarly as possible.
 
I have found EVGA Precision X to be better than Afterburner, give that a try.

Syncronising cards should force them to run at the same clock speeds.

I know what you are getting at though. Previously if you set a memory overclock to 3300 MHz both cards would run at that speed.

Now it is + something and one card is clocked slightly higher than the other out of the box.

EVGA PX allows you to set the differing card frequencies/settings separately a little less painlessly than MSI AB I felt.

It was my tool of choice for 600 series.
