Question about on-board mobo sound

Just upgraded mobo to B550 Aorus Elite V2 which has "High-End WIMA & Audio Capacitors" which "provide rich sound in the bass and clearer high frequencies", but after plugging in my Sennheiser HD555 to Line Out there is virtually no bass at all. The treble is fine and clear for regular speech and the volume is actually louder than my old sound card, but bassy music is completely pointless to listen to, and most YouTube vids sound tinny. I've installed the Realtek driver (dated 2020/11/26) from Gigabyte's mobo support site (https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/B550-AORUS-ELITE-V2-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver) but this only provides the driver, no audio manager to adjust settings or tweak an equalizer. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a secret port, driver or piece of software that goes with Gigabyte's onboard High-End Audio, or is this truly the best on-board sound can do?

I have an Asus Xonar DS that was on the previous mobo which I am thinking of switching back to. The only thing is, I have a feeling that the old Xonar drivers were contributing to some blue screens, so am reluctant to go back to this.

Any advice appreciated.

Tried the Audio Analyzer but its a bit to complicated for me to understand as an audio noob :(
Couldnt find anywhere to check stereo vs 5.1/7.1, in windows sound settings or advanced device settings, and theres no realtek HD audio manager installed with the driver from Gigabyte or Realtek's website.
After faffing around with alternative older drivers trying to get any sort of audio manager software, I settled on installing Equalizer APO 64 Bit (Audio Processing Object) 1.2.1 from MajorGeeks.com (https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/equalizer_apo_64_bit.html) and used that to equalize the bass out. It seems to work with little to no background usage, so we'll see how that goes.
Thanks for the suggestions. :)

edit: update - Equalizer APO was only available with other Realtek drivers that allowed enhancements (which I installed when playing around with them). I reverted back to the recommended driver by Gigabyte on the mobo support page, then found the audio manager hidden away as a Windows 10 app "Realtek Audio Console" which container a basic equalizer, mic boost etc. This recommended driver seems to produce a much higher volume line out (volume at 20 is normal listening).
