I've just bought the new shape Vectra CDTi SRI for the wife to run the baby round as my car isn't practical.

It has on board Navi 70 or sumin, the guy in the garage says i have to subscribe or something could any of you guys give me sum advice on how much it costs etc?

Some advice for you...ignore any reference in this thread to the fact that you bought a new Vauxhall. 'New' and 'Vauxhall' are two words guaranteed to generate off topic ranting in this forum section, let alone when you combine the two :p.

Anyway OP, what exactly is your question? What are you trying to achieve and what is preventing you from achieving it?

Have you got a manual for this car and have you read it? What exactly are you trying to get from this SatNav; basic navigation or live traffic updates with speed camera warnings? Or do you just want to update to the latest maps?

No no its not a brand new car, its 2nd hand.

I've asked the guy who i bought it off and same old after sale bullcrap speak to Vauxhall, i'm to fussed if i get it working or not because i have a sat anyway.

Basically this Vectra has on board GPS (Navi 70). The manual doesn't say to much tbh, it comes with a disc which i've tried but doesn't work. Apparently i need to subscribe to Vauxhalls to get the GPS to work?

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Navi 70?

Also Vauxhall's have been good to me over the years i've had them, Only reason i bought it was 1 because it was big enough to fit the pram in, 2 its 150bhp + tow weight which is what i need to tow my Carvan.... I dont give to hoots about car's, makes and that rubbish haha, so long as it gets me from A to B i dont care lol!

The unit is called the CD70 by vauxhall

the lower models without Nav have the CD30 or the CD40

afaik i know nothing about any subscriptions to vauxhall. Its simply a disc. If you have a disc that doesnt work its either faulty or the wrong one.

*edit* register on Vectra C and do some searching for CD70, there are loads more threads full of info.
