Question about PS3

I bought a PS3 today whilst im in the US and I just wanna know if any HDMI cable will work between the PS3 and my Samsung TV. Not sure if this makes sense but I mean if I go and buy a HDMI cable from a store in the US tomorrow will it work fine at home or vice-versa say I bought a HDMI cable from a UK store will it work??

Can you lock onto target in Drake's Fortune or is it all free aim??

ah right well I might pick up Drakes Fortune then before I head off home got a few spare dollars lying around I need to get rid of.
