Hi,

I have an epos software system that requires me to connect my usb (printer male out) epson tm-t88iv thermal printer to be connected to a rs232 port.

Only problems I have is my printer is again usb (usb printer port, the square one)

Now to over come this problem, I think I would adapters converters.

Starting from the printer, could I use a usb printer (square) with a female usb on the other side then connect a usb to rs232 female with rs232 female connected to a rs232 port on the computer completing the connection.

Would this work without any issues?

I'm setting this up for a friend so thanks in advance.

Should be fine. We use rs232 - USB converter cables at work for proprietary software systems and they work fine. I can't see any issue with using a printer cable to female USB from the printer.
