Question about secure transfer platform

Hi
I need to share large and confidential files with my colleagues. I have little confidence with Dropbox so I would like to know if you've heard aoubt one of these following platforms. Of courses they are not free but they seem to be more secure.

Why not just encrypt the files before they get uploaded to dropbox?
To be fair you should do this no matter what service you use.
