Question about selling through another person

Looking to sell my bike, but soon not going to be in the country, so was looking for someone else to do the sale. So I am wondering if there would be any problems with the documents having my name on them if another person would be selling it? Ie the address would not match. Would I need to inform DVLA about that?

You can get a garage to advertise/sell it for you (for a percentage though)

Might be safer.

The person is a guy from work so no worries there, but I didn't know garages would do that, will check out how much of a cut they want. Thanks.

I guess you would have to change the address at least on the V5? as a different registered address might cause some suspicion?

I beleive that the owner and the registered keeper do not have to be the same person. You could theoritically pass ownership of the bike over to your friend whilst still being the registered keeper and not have to amend the V5. Best to contact the DVLA to confirm this though.
