Question about SLI.

My motherboard is the P35 Neo2 FR/Fir

Slots

• Two PCI Express 16X slots with 1x16 and 1x4 operations (PCI Express Bus SPEC V1.0a compliant; supports CrossFire Technology)
• Two PCI Express x1 slots. (support PCI Express Bus specification v1.0a compliant)
• Two 32-bit PCI v2.3 master PCI bus slots.
- Support 3.3v/5v PCI bus interface.


Would that run 2 cards SLI at 16x or not ? I cant get my head around it. Another question is - Should I sell my 8800 and buy a 9xxx or SLI with another?

Nope no SLi on P35, just Crossfire.

Now come's an even noobier question then, whats the difference ? ATI and Nvidia at a guess ?

Yep ATI=crossfire Nvidia= SLI

Sooo, you could wait until the next ATI cards come out, see how they perform and if you like, sell your 8800 and buy two ATIs and crossfire them.
