hi,i dont have internet connection at my house at the moment.anyway if i download steam and all the games and stuff like that too my laptop, when i get home if i copy and paste it all over or even just copy and paste steam to my pc will all my settings be the same or will i have to do it all again??.hope you understand what i mean.thanks

I think if you copied the full folder.. could be 10's of gigabytes with games downloaded/installed. Then had Steam all installed it should work.

yea but thats why i would put it in offline mode on my laptop or wouldnt it work?.i was thinking of just coping a pasting steam from my laptop too my pc,i gusse i could could still install games from the disks?

Steam has a Back Up Local Content feature. Google it! You can choose either CD or DVD size files and burn to disk. On the second machine you install Steam and install the backup files offline.

You can dl the Steam installer and install that from pendirve/CD/DVD too, not sure but I think you need a connection at least onece to log in...

hmm just tryed installing steam at a friends and it wouldnt stop updating or something.but it would get too like 35% or 68% then just stop restart again.so if its all up to date will it be a problem going on steam with a slow internet connection?
