question about steam

I have skyrim on my steam account, could I play it on the PS3?

Reason being is, I play it on my pc without internet whilst my mum (yeah she loves rpg games lol) could log in steam on her PS3?

There hundreds of games on pc steam and theres like 1 on the ps3, the point of ps3 steam is the cloud. Cross comparability is for valve games only

Its not even cross compatability. If you buy a PS3 copy of portal 2 you got a code for the PC version. You can't play cross platform PS3 and PC/mac. Only ps3/ps3 and pc/mac. I do believe that you can chat with friends on steam cross platform though.

That said, I imagine Valve are developing the steamworks API so that cross-platform play will be possible, though it would only exist if the developers even decide to impliment it.

Ah, my bad, its the steam cloud gamesave which isn't cross compatible between PS3 and PC/Mac.
