Morning everyone..

Just a quick question, i bought an i5 3450 last week and i'm aware that this particular cpu is not suitable for extreme overclocking, but i'm just curious to know how high can you go with this while keeping the cpu safe from damage.
Ideally i'd like to get it to 3.6ghz but was wondering if that would be safe.

Lastly, i have a z77 extreme 4 motherboard, and to be honest, i'm quite shocked at how many options there are in bios menu to tweaking the components since i'm still learning about the overclocking side.
I was wondering if anyone can tell what options i need to tweak in order to get it to 3.6ghz and keep it stable.

You should be able to put this CPU to it's maximum multiplier which apparently should take it to 3.9Ghz, and I doubt it would require a voltage change. If it does then just give it a very small boost 1.2v max I would think for that clock speed.
