Currently I use a submersible garden pond pump for my loop, however its becoming a little noisy now so im considering changing for a D5,

My question is, do you think it will be powerful enough to give me decent flow rate through my loop?
Loop is as follows......

pump -> 750mm 1/2"ID tube -> xspc raystorm cpublock -> 600mm of 1/2"ID -> car radiator (600x300x40) -> res
(two gfx card blocks will be added later)

atm my res is over 10gallons, now im considering ditching that and using the same route but into a tube res instead (Ek400) and I could probably also lose around 300mm of tube doing that.

Soooo, will it be upto the job? :)

10 gallon res? jeez and i was worried about ordering 2-3 litres for my setup. Sorry, i cant help much, but i too would like to see your setup.

Yes you'll be fine, I had a single D5 (speed 3) running:

CPU Block
2 x GPU Block
1080 radiator (360x360x50)
360 radiator (120x360x63)
3 Liter res
5 Meters of 7/16 tubing

Your loop is slightly more than what I had, turn the pump up to 4 or 5 if you find it struggles (which it shouldn't). If you use the 10 gallon res then you could ease back pressure on the pump by adding a snorkel on the return line of the res.

Excellent, thanks folks, sounds good :)

the res is just a big plastic box rofl :)
But it holds so much that even distilled water costs a bomb, so im just using tap water with a little red car coolant stuff.
If i ran without the big res, and got a tube one, id just buy 5-6 litres of proper stuff instead. :)
